After 20 years of raising funds to stop preventable male deaths, Movember was losing a little steam. The average amount of money raised, and the number of fundraisers each year were declining.
Movember had lost a little bit of its mojo. A charity born from two mates at a pub had stopped talking to their audience like they were at the pub, instead, they were getting seriously earnest…which is right for a charity, but Movember’s not just any charity.
‘The Mo is Calling’ launched throughout Australia, USA, UK, New Zealand, Canada, and Ireland as the world’s least secret, most inclusive society aimed at bringing people together to raise money for men’s health.
Coming to life in TV, OOH, PR, social, online, experiential, and localised activations, this was a truly integrated campaign for Movember’s future and importantly preventing early male deaths.
From chrome mustaches, Mongolian rock bands, and even a voice-over from Matt Berry (Toast of London, IT Crowd, What We Do in the Shadows), it’s early but I’m excited to see how this campaign can change Movember’s fortunes, all for the betterment of male health.
‘MO’!
